In order to spread the feeling of patriotism and love towards the country, Republic Day celebrations were held in Janta Inter College. The aim was to inculcate a feeling of pride and make every child responsible towards their duties. As per the traditions, the celebrations began with Saraswati Vandana by Teachers & Students of JIC which was then followed with the hoisting of National Flag by Principal, Manager and Honorable Chairman of the school. The hoisting of flag spread a wave of silence which was supported with the humming of National Anthem in the backdrop. Every student was excited and filled with pride which could be easily seen in their eyes.

The event began with the addressing to students by Principal, Manager and Teaching Staff of JIC. Mr. Mahipal Singh, Vice Principal & Mr. Omprakash, Scout In-charge have addressed the gathering, hosted and anchored the event excellently with utmost discipline. Mr. Harbir Singh guided students by discussing important events from the history. This helped students to realize the potential of their country and the reasons to become responsible citizens. In order to commemorate the ex-students of JIC and their contribution towards the school, each one of them was invited onto the stage for addressing the students.

The event became special when students started to showcase their skills with play performances, patriotic songs and various other performances. The Play by junior wing’s girl students on “Stop Dowry” and extra-ordinary, breathtaking performances by Scout Team have got the highest appreciation and applause. The students were awarded for their activities by distributing trophies & prizes based on their performance as well as awards given to the Toppers of each class for their academic performances. The prize distribution was completed with the help of our honorable Chairman, Manager of JIC.

Many of the Alumni (Ex-Students) of JIC also were present on the occasion, they actively took part to make this event a memorable one, they have delivered inspirational speech, shared their experiences to students, in addition they have encouraged the students by giving gifts to every performing students. Ex-Students have shown their gratitude towards School & Teachers for paving their path to success, school administration & teachers have reciprocated the love and blessings and have greeted them all excitingly with an expectation to greet more and more Ex-Students in future and hence the Alumni Volunteer Team is formed to work for the betterment of school and make future events better and bigger.
