About the school

Located in Palri (Baghpat), Janta Inter College was established on 8th July 1964. It is sprawling over the meritorious village land which accounts for traditional values, Vedic culture and touch of modern advancements. The residents of Palri grouped together and under the leadership of the then socialists, they laid the foundation stone of JIC which has now manifested itself into one of the oldest schools in the area. Ch. Lekhram was the first Protector, Mr. Hargyan Singh was the first Manager of the School, Mr. Devi Singh was the first Chairman and Mr. Om Prakash Tyagi was the first Principal of Janta Inter College, Palri. It offers both students and teachers with an ideal educational environment for excellence in all spheres of life. Being a semi-government school and developed with the contribution of local village people, it has got hues of history attached to its growth and development. Located on-road, outside of village, the school has aimed for the morals, ethics and spirits of traditional India. In addition, the dedicated staffs employed for imparting education blend modernity with tradition so that children stay in touch with the local values and still learn the advancements of life. JIC has now spread its wings far and wide for developing a holistic environment for the students. It provides facilities like athletics, sports, academic education and overall personality development. The school started with just 60 students and 7 teachers which have now crossed 900 students and over 45 teachers in total. Important to mention that Mr. Om Prakash Ji was the first student enrolled in JIC and he himself now is an esteemed and valuable Teacher as well as Scout In-charge in Janta Inter College, Palri. In order to fulfill every student’s quest for knowledge and excellence, we are targeting towards an environment to realize their true potential and latent talent. The students passing out from Janta Inter College, Palri are well equipped with all the skills and talent that will make them the leaders of tomorrow and emerge with flying colors from all walks of life. School is now going to celebrate its 50 Years of Success & Glory and Invite everyone ever associated with school in any form to please come and be the part of the celebration starting 25th October 2013 till 27th October 2013.
